Together with the production collective Visual Minds, I worked on two seasonal campaigns for Tuberis Nature & Spa Resort in Taufers im Münstertal, South Tyrol.
The films were built around the hotel’s connection to nature and the concept of the four elements - translating themes like water, fire, earth and air into a visual language that felt cinematic while still grounded in the atmosphere of the place itself. Sustainability and the close relationship between the hotel and its surrounding landscape, including the hotel’s own farm, became an important part of the storytelling.
My role in the project was primarily as cinematographer, while also being involved in the production process throughout both campaigns. Across the summer and winter productions, we created two main films in German and English, alongside a broader set of social media edits and photo assets.
Both productions were shot with a small crew during ongoing hotel operations, which meant working with tight schedules, changing conditions and a highly efficient workflow on set. Rather than building large productions around the location, we tried to adapt to the rhythm of the hotel and use the environment as naturally as possible.
What I enjoyed most about this collaboration was the continuity of the visual concept across two completely different seasons. The same themes and elemental ideas could be approached in very different ways: from warm, organic textures in summer to the contrast of fire and ice during the winter campaign - while still feeling part of the same visual world.
